I tried both adding a partion and adding a volume to the group. Unfortunately when I CCC'd back from the BU the macstudio doesn't see the new partion as a startup drive. I've also got my spinning hard drive BU's mounted to the rear usb 3 port and they aren't seen as viable startup drives. I did the hold down power button on startup but no matter what I do I can't get the macstudio to see anything other than the original internal startup drive. This use to work on my 10.14.6 and earlier systems and I checked and I have the latest version of CCC.What am I missing in my CCC BU process. Could it be because I'm CCCing to non APFS volumes? That didn't stop things from working in my past. Is there a secret handshake to get a second startup partion in Sonoma and maybe some of the other new Mac OSs?John Moore Barking Trout Productions Studio City, CA bigfish@pacbell.net

Re: [Avid-L2] Odd behavior in Mac OS Sonoma 14.0 trying to setup multiple StartUp Drives?
Only APFS boot volumes are supported on these.
