The way I'm looking at the figures I see it like this: The initial 16.5k, plus:
3 x MC licenses @ £429/year
3 x pairs Genelecs @ £325 each
6 x 24inch monitors @ approx £150 each
So a total cost of roughly £25,682
So closer to £100/week but not factoring in the lack of support or the upkeep if something is damaged or faulty and not factoring in having the option to upgrade the kit when new hardware is released. I feel like this makes it a much closer call as it's only then about £300 cheaper over 5 years. The support alone must be worth that? And you should definitely be able to answer that one Rupert! ;)
