Sure, but if you configure a z8 to be similar to any of the Mac Pro offerings, the price difference is marginal. And you get way more options when you configure a z8 compared to a Mac Pro, so you have a little more control over what you'd like to get, or over how much money you'd want to spend on a machine.

I agree that they are outrageous prices for most of us. But we're talking top-of-the-line tech.
