[Avid-L2] Motion Effect Settings

Hi y'all,

I've got a question that's been nagging me for years; one of those problems that I should have asked about ages ago but never got around to.

I'm a colorist.  When I get a program from offline, is there a way to take all the motion effects in a sequence and 1) Promote them,  plus 2)Set the interpolation type (eg. to Both Fields)?

I'm familiar with the Render setting, but that doesn't change things the offline editor manually overrode, afaik, and it also doesn't Promote motion effects (whatever that even means). Nor does the Refresh Sequence/Motion Effects and Timewarps command.
