[Avid-L2] MC 2019 and Premiere

In among all the info Avid has put out about the new 2019 version is the
line
"An improved interoperability workflow for exchanging sequences between
Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro"

We are still chugging along with no support contract v8.4.4, but has
anyone using 2019 tried exchanging sequences with Premiere?
A freelance I am looking to hire for a project uses Premiere. He's
willing to learn Avid but he'd no doubt be more efficient using software
he knows. I'd be willing to upgrade one of our bays to 2019 if the
MC<->Premiere exchange worked well.

Any info on real world experience appreciated!
