Re: [Avid-L2] Why does my 1080i look worse in Avid than Premiere?

Right click on the AVCHD icon and select "Show Package Contents"; I believe you will need to do this a second time on a subsequently revealed icon/folder to get to the next level of folders, one of which contains the .MTS files.

Bouke,

Correct on both notes. After exporting as a jpeg, I zoomed in on the still to better illustrate the issue. On a conventional size monitor though, the problem is completely evident even without zooming. And when I moved from Avid to Premiere to get a frame grab, I must have chosen a different frame. At the time I was too swamped to switch back again. I'll try to do this again with matching frames, but these are completely representative of the issue.

I would be delighted to provide a source clip, but I don't really see how. The shot is 4GB and it is embedded inside an AVCHD file structure. I could probably put 4GB up on dropbox, but not the 40GB AVCHD folder. If you have a suggestion on how to go about this, I would really love to accommodate.

Martin
