Re: [Avid-L2] Title Tool - Does not allow close of window to Save/Can't Exit (Endless Loop)

Did you try my suggestion? Also, simply opening Marquee and then quitting and then going for the Avid TT sometimes works.

TY Roger.  I listed the version 8.9 at the top of my query: 8.9.

Let's see if Avid will resolve it tmrw at 7am, though it is solace to know we are not the only ones.

What version MC? I saw this a lot a couple of years ago at my university and had a long-ongoing case open with Avid that was never resolved. The only way we could kill it was to restart the computer before editing each time. Then, mostly, TT worked. You could also try Marquee (worth learning if you don't go larger than full HD).

Mac OS El Crapitan

MC 8.9

Title Tool:

This used to work fine.

Suddenly, modifying a simple slate (either: Placing Playhead on Timeline over the Title and going into Effects Mode; then selecting EDIT TITLE in its Effects box; or, <CMD>-clicking the Title CLIP in a BIN to edit the existing slate) will not allow a close-window to be clicked in the Title composition window.  The query SAVE, CANCEL... window opens, and no matter which you choose, it just repeats locked in that query window.  You have to Force Quit out of the Title Tool app (you don't need to Force-close M.C.)

Checked Media Creation settings and tried saving Titles to Desktop but same difference.

Any clues, Avid gurus?
