I ditched my nitris once we stopped using tape. Just run media composer on your black magic decklnk. For audio I still have my mixer hooked up, but it doesn't really do anything anymore. Use Big knob or cheap behringer for volume control. In my case I have a powered blue sky surround system and, thanks to Jay M., stuck an old HDLink pro in the monitor feed- and it extracts tracks 1-6 from the SDI stream. So stereo is 1-2, and surround is 1-6, no patching or converting needed!

HI
I am moving my edit suite to another address so its giving me the opportunity to tear down and completely scale down and update my Avid/{premiere set up. Using a 2013 MacPro and Sonnet PCI box I have Mojo DX. I will retain the digibeta and DVcam deck for legacy work.. Flanders (older) LM 2450 monitor.I need to feed the Flanders with SDI when using Premiere. I have plenty of HDMI ports with all my docks so I can switch between Avid and Premiere for client viewing. What would be an economical solution to get SDI playback from Mac to Flanders? Decklink? Also, dont really need the Mackie 1602 mixer anymore. What are some smaller audio boards being used out there?ThanksLou
