Re: [Avid-L2] OTish: Uninstalling Adobe CS6 to make way for CC?

So it worked and I installed the oldest versions of CC I could but I doubt any of them are old enough to support my QT Ref workflow like my CC 2015 does at work.  The CS6 apps show up alongside the newer ones and some even have updates according to the Adobe Cloud App Manager.

I wonder if I were to upgrade the CS6 apps would they no longer be perpetual licenses like I've had   running for years?

The cleaner app is only needed if you are troubleshooting.  It uninstalls some crap in hidden folders on your boot drive.  I had to do it once a long time ago, but it's not required.  Here is the thing.... you don't actually need to uninstall.  You can run CS and CC simultaneously.  In fact, If you think you will ever have any need for Encore, you should keep CS (uninstall the individual apps you don't need).  You probably won't be able reinstall later, given Adobe pulling old installers for legal reasons.

Finally am going to upgrade Adobe from CS 6 on my home system.  I see there is an uninstall built into the installation App Manager for Adobe CS6.  I also found a "Cloud Cleaner" which says:
:Run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to resolve some Creative Cloud or Creative Suite installation issues."   Do I need to run both?  Just Curious what other's experiences are.  MacPro mid 2012 12 core Mac OS 10.12.6 64 GB ram.
