It's a bug fix release, not a point release. I think I read Lomicka saying on the facebook forum there was internal debate, and you can see how it turned out.
Still, it's confusing.
If you want to go down the rabbit hole, will folks with perpetual licenses, but who's support contracts ended December 31 be able to run the 18.12.1 release? I bet they can, but I'm just causing trouble by brining it up.
So far its been a great release - runs really well, even on my 'unqualified' cheesegraters.
