I believe I've been able to export from MC with embedded CC in making an XDCAM MXF. Just offering another possible export option.

I had read online somewhere that some files need to be 'washed' before Media Composer can read them. So, I dropped the SCC file into premiere, and exported it back out. Presto, media composer can import it.
(Unfortunately the only format that MC seems to be able to export with closed captioning embedded is AS-11, a fine delivery format, I suppose, so that's what I'm sending.)
