I saw this on the DS List.
"Adobe has dropped support for the Meridien 32 bit legacy codecs with CC 2018. Unfortunately we used Meridien compressed a lot to deliver to our Avid editors and to render footage from XDCam to use in various projects. I don't think Resolve will load them either, at least it won't recognize the test.mov I've tried to import. The sticky thing is I won't know when I'll need a file we've saved in this codec again. Any suggestions for what I can use to convert them. Until I find a solution I'm sticking to AE version 15.0.0."
Is there any nerdy technical reason for? I know tech moves on etc... and I keep hearing how QT is going away at some point. Is this change related to changes in Mac OS and or PC OS?
