TITLER PRO by NewBlue FX
Has anyone figured a way to do this? If there isn't one, then can we all petition both AVID and NewBlue FX's Titler Pro to make it happen? :)
Like many people, I am all about minimizing keystrokes, mouse moves, pull-down menus, etc.
Originally, with older MC and early, free-included Titler Pro, you had to drop this plug-in to the timeline, then go into Avid Effects Editor, then in that window, click LAUNCH TITLER PRO Interface to edit a title. You do these steps repeatedly with every title modification or addition.
With Avid's "ADD/EDIT TITLE" as a pop-up menu in the Timeline Window, Titler Pro latter versions will instantly launch its text compositing window – however, consider in Avid that you have to <CTRL> in Timeline to make the menu appear, move the mouse to find the ADD/EDIT in that menu, and click that. I can't find a way to map Timeline ADD/EDIT TITLE to a the keyboard like I can with their top bar pull-down menus, which would solve this with just ONE hand and no mouse moving/clicking (e.g., <CTRL> - <T> could ACTIVATE ADD/EDIT Title without clicking it).
On the NewBlue FX side – they could also make it happen by just making their text composing interface appear INSTANTLY when going into AVID Effects Editor with the timeline playhead positioned over/or selecting the TITLE plug-in that is in the Sequence timeline.
Some of you brilliant colleagues out there may have already found a way to make this happen.
