Oh yes I had forgotten about that as I haven't had much stage tools use recently. That function was wonky but in a pinch it sometimes worked.

IIRC correctly, using Shift>Alt and dragging would create a "pseudo" X or Y rotation, which was really more of a 2D skew than a rotation. I've been away from StageTools for quite a while, so I may not have the exact combination of modifiers correct, but you get the idea.
Our director of post told me that Sapphire has added Pan and Zoom to it's toolset, but I can't find it on the website. I've asked her to send me a link for an evaluation copy.
Will keep the L-2 updated at to what I find out.
