[Avid-L2] 4k question for members from UK and EU

 

Hey Gang

I have a client in preliminary conversations with buyers - he wants to satisfy UK/EU distributor with UHD, while still delivering HD in the US. What frame rate is TYPICAL in UK and EU countries for UHD? Can anyone point me to delivery specs?

Weirdly, a quick Google is not definitive on this issue. According to wikipedia, the frame rate can be as high as 120; one site guesses the standards might be double-speed ( 50/60 ), but it seems to me that movies are still 24/25.

SO, can you please confirm what's being accepted for UHD delivery in your (non-US, non-Netflix) market ? Thanks!
