In 35mm there is full coat mag and also "stripe" mag (used for mono, with a second balance stripe. It can be called "mag" or "fullcoat" or "magnetic film" or even "mag" or "mag track."
In LA I'd recommend John Polito of Audio Mechanics. He deals with mag all day long.
I can recommend a more expensive place if you'd prefer.
You are correct. Greg emailed me offlist. I had always called it "Mag Film" and you are calling it full coat magnetic film.
