I have had two MC with Symphony option dongles for years. The price has always been the same as regular MC, but in past years it was a different SKEW number, and a pain if I ordered the wrong one. Marianna always made it right, but I became careful to get the MC With Symphony option.
I buy from VideoGuys.com. They have the lowest price I know of, and they are whom I have bought all my upgrades from for many years. If you have any concerns, questions or problems, ask for Gary Bettan.
This year I couldn't find the "special" version. I contacted someone via e-mail to ask about this and was told that since it's the same price, that AVID has rolled the yearly support contract for MC and MC with Symphony option into the same product to avoid confusion.
Note, Videoguys has the Media Comoposer support option for $285.00 and they always have discount codes for another 5% off. The current one is FALL5 which is good till December 5th. Since he works out of New Jersey I don't even pay sales tax. Here is a link:

You can do the deal online, and when I did mine a couple days ago I had my support upgrade codes in a couple minutes, logged into my AVID master account and had them applied within minutes. Literally took me about 15 or 20 minutes from the above link to support upgraded on my account.
