I was successful I took the activation code and sent it to Marianna. What I first noticed was a symphony option appeared in my Avid MYProducts page but was not attached to the dongle. I followed up with Marianna and she was able to turn my MC dongle project to a symphony crossgrade or some such thing so future updater files will include the symphony option. I don't really know if I had just activated the symphony option for the dongle if it would have just lived on the dongle like my other symphony dongles.
I have had a mc dongle and a symphony dongle for years plus a symphony software activation license. Now I have two symphony dongles or I guess that should correctly read two MC with symphony option dongles.

Hi Jeff,
You can just use the activation codes in Application Manager, while keeping your MC licenses on the dongle.
If you prefer to move the Symhony licenses to dongles (as I did), you should email Raff Condalor <raff.condalor@...> or Marianna Montague <marianna.montague@...> with your Dongle serial and Sys ID and Symph Activation code (don't post these here though!) plus your Avid Master Account login name, and they can make this happen for you. Essentially, they will use the activation code to generate a dongle updater for you.
