HBO requests a JPEG 2K mxf op1a file. I've been able to do that on Avid 8.6.4 and they seem happy with the file with 12 audio channels. I'm curious why unlike a DPX file export there is no setting for legal level vs. full range.
I've never delivered in JPEG 2K before and HBO is happy with my legal level export direct from the timeline but is there any reason for a JPEG 2K file to be full range instead of legal. I've read on the L2 etc... that the DNX codecs are unique, or rare, in that they have a legal vs. full range flag in the format. Would that be something not necessary in JPEG 2K because it is always legal level? I'll be doing some googling but any experience in this area would be appreciated.
