I happen to "have" Premiere because I subscribe to Adobe CC.
But I actually "use" Premiere, not for real editing but ancillary tasks; e.g. a client brings in some horribly compressed consumer video files -- I can toss them into Premiere without even knowing what the heck they are, excerpt the bites I need, and export them in an Avid-editable form. Nice.
