Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Re-Linking Question

Was the media ingested using Import or was it ingested using Link (formerly AMA)?
Are the QuickTime files identical on all systems?

Hello Everyone,

Long-time user, first time poster. Thanks for the feedback earlier with the Import/Relink issue (I was the person Benjamin was talking about in his post). Still not sure why Relinking finally worked that time, ha.

Here's the full scenario: I'm teaching an Avid class and most of the edit material is imported ahead of time for them (just like the media/projects that come with the MC101 book) - so it's only been imported once and we can share Bins, everything connects without issue, and I can see their actual sequences for grading and not just an export. No problems with that workflow.

If I wanted them to import their own media (from batch of .MOV files) for practice, each on their own separate station, is there no guaranteed way I can link that footage to the same media imported on my own separate station?

Appreciate the help, folks!

Thanks,
Chris
