[Avid-L2] Re: M4ROOT and AMA

Andi,

It does work some of the time, but not with the Sony A7II. I've tried it unsuccessfully on the Sony footage. I own the camera and I have to follow this workflow:

Get Catalyst Browser
Open the folder with the files.
The files should appear in the window, select the ones you need
Hit command T and transcode to whatever form of Pro Res you want. and select where you want the files.

John Moore is correct. Unless I'm misunderstanding something because of my advanced years, it works and you can AMA the files into the Avid. Caveat: I've been known to misunderstand things.

But I do this a lot because I own the camera. There also may be a difference between the files from an A7II and an A7sII and A7Rii and now the A9. I don't know because I own the A7II and have been using it for the last 2 1/2 years. Great camera. Sony has outdone Canon, Nikon etc. as far as innovation goes. But they don't make the post workflow user friendly.
