If this ends up 25fps, why would you ingest in a 25fps project? Are they shooting tape?
If not, just Link in your 23.976 project and opt to keep the original frame rate when you transcode to Avid media. You'll get the same lovely motion adapter. Yes, you will have a bit of ghosting due to the frame rate difference. How bad it is depends on the motion in the clip, but you knew that already.
