Yeah, there was nothing in the manual referencing cadence. There really is very little explaining the two "24 fps" settings and what you're actually getting — it is a consumer camera with consumer-focused documentation. I'll fiddle around some before (if) I use the camera again. This was definitely user error though. I still have some clips online I shot in 2010 that are clean, actual 23.976 fps, so it will shoot at that rate. Must have used the other setting that time.
