I installed the XAVC/XDCAM one yesterday.

On Mac OS X, the installer IS smart enough to remove the prior Sony version.
On Windows 7, the installer throws up a dialog, warning that you need to uninstall the Sony version first.
I didn't see anything in the docs about XAVC-S support, and indeed, I was still NOT able to load circa 2014 footage from a Sony a7s into Media Composer 8.6 on Mac.
