I've been struggling with a head-scratcher that I hope someone else has run into and found a fix.
Since the beginning of the year we've intermittently been seeing sequences longer than 4-ish minutes fail when exporting to ProRes HQ, ProRes and ProRes Proxy. They fail a little over halfway through the Creating Fast Start movie phase, even though that setting is unchecked in the export setting.
The error is:
Exception: std::exception, what[CQTExportWorkingThreadBody] Threads::SendThreadMessage: Thread message queue full MainThtread-DeferredDisplayTherm
I've tried:
Rebooting
Creating a new editor profile
Disconnecting all disks except those needed for the project
Video mixdown of sequence
Exporting to local disk versus FibreJet partition
I'm running MC8.4.4, OS X 10.9.5. Sequences are 1080p 29.97 or 23.98.
What I can get to work is exporting to Animation (huge and slow) or DNxHD codecs which don't seem to go through the secondary Creating Fast Start step. Does this Fast Start step happen in memory or on a local disk? I don't see any activity on the RAID during this step. The boot SSD has only 10% free space.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Terry
