I have not captured from tape professionally in about 8 years. But with some down time thought I would digitize some old home movies of the kids from my DSR45. A process I did a while ago with little problem. But now, a few versions later in MC, this is an utter disaster. Deck configuration just defaults to no deck every time i set a deck. I still have the old Keyspan twin on the system so maybe that is obsolete. I did get the avid to control the deck one time and got in and out set and went to capture but at the end I got an error. Now I would just be happy to crash it in but can get the capture tool to see the deck no matter what I do. Using the Deck config setting I assign the DSR 45 to the port but when I close the window and open it, the deck is gone. So Capture tool never sees it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
