Not that I agree with it totally, but thats why Adobe is really getting a decent proxy workflow together. No way a laptop is going to push around all those pixels without having a car battery inside it to run a multiple GPUs.

I think there is a very good argument for that. Premiere needs GPU and 2 gigs of VRAM isn't going to cut it. Avid needs RAM and 16 GB isn't going to cut it for serious lifting. Resolve needs multiple GPUS...
