The Aurspeeds I've worked with all ran Windows, but I don't know how much that changes things. I've seen Avid FTP Browser get installed along with things before, but I've never found a use for it. It might be that you need to run Transfer Manager or your Avid, in which case you would point the transfer settings at "localhost" and enter the Airspeeds details as a playback device in "Transfer Configuration".
The Interplay Server, Folder and User settings are to do with Interplay Engine, and you don't have one of those, so it's fine that they are greyed out. Have you installed the Transfer Client software? It is a separate download, and you need the version from the Interplay Bundle that corresponds to your version of Media Composer. There's a version matrix on the knowledgebase…
As far as Avid clearing out old installers, they didn't take documentation down from the knowledgebase at the same time - probably because they couldn't find it - so the old user guides and things are still available if you can find them. The best way is usually to search for something unrelated.

Well I see the options in the Avid Settings for Interplay Transfer Server and Interplay User, but they are both grayed out and not letting me enter anything.
Addtionally the client installed something called the Avid FTP Media Browser...I can point to the AirSpeed and it seems to connect but it wants the FTP directory path. I have NO idea what that is supposed to be and I havent found anything on that.
Any ideas
