Well I have tried installing the Interplay Transfer Engine on two systems (Avid MC 5.5 and Avid MC 2.7.7) and both times it destroyed my Avid install and I couldnt run it. I was able to fix the MC 5.5 by following this article http://community.avid.com/forums/t/54948.aspx and this is what happens. So right now I have a working MC 5.5 and an 8.4 system. Im pretty sure 8.4 cant talk with the AirSpeed which is what I was trying to use the 5.5 and 2.7.7 for. I only have the earliest TM client and Engine I can find from Avid. BUt I think its too new because its branded with the AVID purple log. I would still think the TM client would work, but I just dont know how to configure it.
