Script based editing is still in media composer- the automatic syncing is what is gone. So you only need the script sync for an hour or two, probably, to sync sound to script- unless you're doing dailies.
We keep one system in 7.x exactly for this purpose- if you don't find a loaner/rental license, you're welcome to come by and use our assistant station for a very nominal fee. We're in Culver City. Obviously that might not be practical on a daily basis. I'm sure there's also a way to do it with proxy/ultra-low-res media, too- as in, easily emailed- just haven't thought that workflow through.

I understand the two don't work togeather.Does anyone know how to get a script sync Lic? or is someone interested in selling or renting me an older version of avid media composer with script sync? Any suggestions would be great.Art Freed818-674-2142
