Why not set up as a RAID 5 or even RAID 10? Drives are cheap now. A couple of years ago using some advice from Zelin I built a RAID 10 server, 10 gigE fiber, with 12 4TB drives in RAID 10 (and ports to expand to 24 drives). Two drives can fail before I lose data. I used an Areca RAID card. Found all the parts on eBay. Not saying you need to go this big but it can't hurt to have a little redundancy.
