Got this email from our online and deliverables guys:
"On multiple occasions when mastering to HDCAM or SR we are receiving channel conditions. The tapes have undergone 2 complete QC passes as well as checking the error log on the tape decks and are coming up fine. We however are receiving failed notifications from the networks with channel conditions present on the tape.
This isn't happening every time but just enough to classify annoying. It isn't happening with one specific network either. At first I thought the tape might have just been damaged in shipping however since this has happened several times in the last few months it seems unlikely. "
My first thought is that the SR deck may need to be calibrated, but I'm opening this up to the brilliant minds here on the L.
