As you may have read, I'd like to use ScriptSync on a project that I am
cutting on ver 8 MC.
I have a version of 7 loaded up (7.0.3) and ScriptSync activated.
The problem I am having is that the material was shot on the C300 Mk II
which requires the latest codec from Canon which is only compatible with
v.8 MC. I can't open the V8 bins of the original material in v7 without
an error (though that may have to do with running 7.0.3. Dom mentioned
that ScriptSync is less reliable in the latest v. 7 releases so I am
trying not to go there.)
I tried to fool the v 7 MC by removing all the video mxf files
and just leaving the audio but the bin still won't open.
I also tried opening the script in ver 8, and linking the clip. Then
removing the video files and trying to open the script in v.7 in the
hope that the script might be different from the bin but I get the
same error.
Any suggestions on how best to proceed?

BTW Anyone ever run a time comparison of an AE manually syncing an hour
of interview to syncing through ScriptSync? At some point my time
troubleshooting may be better spent on an AE doing the grunt work...
