Re: [Avid-L2] Reference for HDCam and Mojo DX

 

We have numerous HDCam decks (and Nitris DX) using plain old bi level
sync for 1080 59.94i without a problem. As long as your sync generator
and DA is good, seems like it should work. The Sony decks seem happier
if the reference is plugged into the lower BNC marked "reference
input." The menu settings vary from deck model to model. On Sony decks
the Stop button will usually blink if the deck is not seeing good sync.
The indicator on the Capture Tool and Digital Cut Tool in Media Composer
should indicate if it's happy with the sync. There's an indicator LED
on the Nitris too. Not sure about about the Mojo. --J.B.
