If I remember correctly, third party I/O hardware (via Avid's Open IO) do not support Ancillary Data. This includes DNxIO, which is just a re-branded Blackmagic Ultrastudio 4K Extreme.

We are trying to output a program with closed captions to HDCam with no luck. We are running MC 8.4 on Mac and have tried both AJA Io and the Avid/Blackmagic ARTIST I/O. We can see the captions in the program side monitor but they are not making it downstream to the deck or the monitor. We were only able to get it work when we took a PC / Nitris DX out of retirement.
Is there a Blackmagic utility setting I am missing or a known bug with hooks to the 3rd party hardware?
Any insights greatly appreciated!
