And with a bunch of students using our Avid seats, I'm just waiting for one of them to try to download/update/install something inappropriate after a prompt flashes up. An administrator should be able to make it run in the background/hidden.

Seriously...what is the point of these apps? They do far more harm than good. No need to have them running in the background all the time doing god knows what (look at your Console logs for a laugh), At least the Adobe one has a setting to keep it from auto launching. The Avid one can be made not to with a little tinkering on the Mac....have no idea how on PC.

Just when you think App Manager can't make your life any more miserable...We updated our ProTools systems to V12 which requires the subscription hell. Now EVERY one of our MC systems show this long list of crap in the App Manager. What a POS!
