Just to confirm, you're using MC8.4.4 on Mac OS X 10.9.5? Trying to make sure we're on equivalent systems to rule out other causes.
The export problems happen from different sources in different projects in different edit bays.
AMA'd XDCAM and EX footage in bay1
XDCAM and EX that's been transcoded to ProRes 422 in bay2
Exports to Prores proxy, Prores LT and DNxHD 45 all throw an error dialog after finishing an export. This breaks batch exports.
"Exception: DISK_SEEK_ERROR, filename:/Volumes/bla bla"
This error is displayed no matter the output disk--boot drive, secondary internal, external FibreJet share.
Another error we see is:
"Exception: std::exception, what:[CQTExportWorking]ThreadBody] Threads::SendThreadMessage: Thread message queue full MainThread ~DeferredDisplayTherm"
Exports to Prores 422 HQ, Prores 422 and DNxHD 220 work without throwing an error dialog.
These sequences exported without error to Prores proxy before updating to MC8.4.4 and 10.9.5.
