Re: [Avid-L2] Re: permissions and segmentation fault issue

Hi,

I'm on El Capitan and 8.5.0.  I left MC on last night but minimized.  When I woke it up this morning, it did not have a problem.  8.5.0 is responsive and I don't see too many complaints.  I will try a few more times today to invoke that error. (It's an easy attempt - just walk away and let the machine go to sleep).  So far after one try letting it go to sleep and twice putting the computer into sleep the error hasn't reoccurred when I wake it up.

I have since tried several different drives all with the same error and crashing.

Timemachine works fine - writes to the drive.

Premiere Pro ALSO works fine with the same drives - sees media and writes.

Is it time for me to switch to El Capitan and the latest MC version?
