In regards to music and YouTube / Vimeo... I always buy my music from one of the stock music companies. Or I have a friend create a track for me.
If you use a track from a favorite artist and post to YouTube, they may automatically take it down.
I always advise buying stock music that feels like the commercial track you want to use. And I don't like demo reels that link out to buy the commercial track (presumably to try and stave off a lawyer from issuing a TakeDown)... after all, what are you promoting—the music or your work? Promote yourself, the music is just ambiance.

So I need to update my website and most likely will use Wordpress (open to other suggestions). Just wondering what people are doing for online demo reels that might have copyrighted music, photos or video in the segment. Its it alright to post on Vimeo, YouTube ect.. if you have it titled demo reel. Or it still a breach of copyright?
