True that. I worked with a production company that had their 1 inch master tapes in cheap storage. Basically in a basement. You know those fully enclosed cement rooms, kinda sounds like a description of a pool without the plaster of course. Guess what when the above water pipe broke it acted just like a pool. Think of it like a hot tub without hot water, no peacocks and far from Marin county. The only think that went swimming were all the 1 inch masters along with some 2 inch audio and probably some 3/4, DAT and Beta Sp in the mix. Guess who wishes they had better storage and multiple locations?

Hey all -
In the early planning stages of doing a 60 minute doc. I am backing every camera card up to one or two drives for safe keeping. Any suggestions on what products are best for this? Won't be editing off them, just as safety backups. This is not for long term back up (yet, the producer will have to decide that after we are done), just for safety during edit. Thanks in advance.
