Re: [Avid-L2] Facebook Ask An Editor Forum

I've met him once, and he is a member of the Seattle Editors Guild Facebook page.

He seems like a good guy from his posts on that Facebook group. I don't understand how he could come up with such bad rationale as he did; but I also don't think he thought he was being crooked either.

Anyone's guess by whom...

The guy originally asked for some software that he knew about that allowed you to reset the temp license on your Avid trial.

The reaction was fierce and swift.

In his defense - not valid, but at least not as bad as it originally sounded - was that he was a long-time Avid editor and has PAID versions of the software (and has had paid versions back to the Film Composer days), but that he wanted to edit on his laptop over the holidays and his trial on his laptop had expired.

I reported it to Marianna as did several others.

I can't see it either. In the interest of brevity, could someone who did read it give us a synopsis?
