Any idea what that jumper is really doing? Besides making the HBA work. I doubt HP put in a jumper just to make Avid's HBA work.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Avid/BMD DXxIO disconnecting?
I have a brand new install of MC 8.4.2 Win7 HPz840 ordered to the Avid spec. Using the original Nitris DX PCIe card in Slot 6 per the configuration guide.
The new Avid/BMD DNxIO is disconnecting or "disappearing." I run the BMD Desktop Video Utility and it does not show a device connected. Sometimes a reboot will fix the issue, but closing and opening Media Composer may find that it has disappeared.
Anyone seeing this issue?
