Just as a thought, what are the pixel dimensions of the files you are trying to import?

I vaguely remember something about issues with files that were bigger than 3k horizontally, but can't remember whether it was import or pan & scan issues.

Hi Michael,
When I generate Tone media is saves it to the Avid MediaFiles - MXF - 1 - on my George drive.
Yes, I can AMA link and transcode media - no problem there. It's just the "import" that is broken :(.
I can AMA

So where does the tone media get saved successfully? (select the tone in your bin, 'reveal file' from file menu.)
I don't remember from the start of the thread... Is it only import that is broken? Can you AMA and transcode to your 'George' disk, for instance? If so, that would seem to eliminate permissions issues.
Cheers,

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't work. I was able to create and save tone media fine though.

-MattI've seen this once. Had to take a media files folder form elsewhere and copy it onto the storage to get it working. Database files and all before it would recognize it as a media drive. (Just creating the directory by hand would not work).I'd rename the local media files folder, import something small or generate tone to the local HD then copy this media directory onto the storage giving you issues. Might be worth a shot.
