Hi John,
I tried this, and it didn't work.
I tried it 2 ways. With Avid shut down.
And then with Avid open, I deleted the new "Avid mediafiles" folder - created a title and saved it, forcing it to create a new Avid MediaFiles folder - and I am still unable to import.
Really appreciate everyones help.
Aimie

Rename your Avid MediaFiles folder by putting an X in front of it.Create a new folder and name it "Avid MediaFiles".Within it create a folder called "MXF". Within that create a folder called "1".Now try to import a still graphic or audio file.Does it work?

Subject: [Avid-L2] Please help! I can no longer Import once I updated to 8.4
Hi,I updated to Avid 8.4.1 and then to 8.4.2 - and I am unable to import anything. When I click on import it says "There are no media drives available. You will only be able to import shot logs".I was able to work around this in the past, as I could drag and drop - but that's no ideal, when trying to import b-roll footage, and every time I've tried that, it has crashed my system, and "linking" doesn't seem to work either.I'd love to be able to work on my project .. but seem to be held up. Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this would be greatly appreciated. All disk permissions are read/write for everything … .Thanks!Aimie
