I will try the windows machine option tomorrow - if I can. Otherwise I'm going to try and go back to 8.3 ….
My other editor was on 10.10.1, and I was on 10.10.2 - and now on 10.10.5 (same problem). But we are both on Avid 8.4.2

Can we assume that your other editor is on the same OS and Avid version? And if so, would it be at all possible for you to temporarily move the project to a Windows-based Avid platform to see if it behave the same way?
