We've recently chosen to stay on HP during an upgrade opportunity because I didn't want to rebuild my hardware & software environment that's working very well.

I'm consulting for a 30+ Avid facility who is looking to upgrade their existing towers. They rely on ISIS storage. They have clients and some anecdotal data that is pushing them to switch from HP to Apple computers. I'm concerned about PCI expansion and the ever changing Mac OS. Is there benchmark data or personal experience from the L that new Macs are processing file based material better or faster than the current generation of similar HP workstations?
Thanks for the advice,
Mike
