Are you interested in working on high-end, meaningful content? The OutPost at WGBH is looking for a colorist/online editor to work on some of the most acclaimed programs. The OutPost, WGBH's in-house video and audio post-production facility, serves a diverse client-base including American Experience, Frontline, Nova, Masterpiece, Antiques Roadshow and a wide range of independent producers. Week in and week out OutPost artists and technicians deliver the highest quality of programming to PBS and other major distribution networks.
The Online Editor/Colorist Editor is responsible for the finishing, packaging and delivery of documentaries, promotional materials, digital video content and an array of other video materials. The Online Editor/Colorist works with a variety of documentary producers, production managers, and post-production supervisors to ingest, grade, technically correct and polish program materials for final delivery. The Online Editor/Colorist may also design and execute packaging elements as needed.
Minimum of five years of experience as an on-line editor and colorist on national programing.
The Online Editor/Colorist should have ADVANCED color-correction and editing experience in DaVinci Resolve with good depth in Avid Symphony. Experience in other non-linear editing platforms such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier also preferred but not required. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop is a necessary. Familiarity with broadcast color-correction standards, technical principles, and delivery specifications is vital. Ability to work both independently and effectively in a team is expected. Strong customer service skills are essential. A track record of performance under broadcast deadlines will also be taken into consideration.
