Re: [Avid-L2] relink AMA files

This should work for clips that are AMA-d but not transcoded. I'd create some bins, AMA from scratch, select all the new clips then select each sequence and use the 'Relink to  selected items in all open bins' option in the relink dialogue. If this works, transcode again.

I've done this before and I think you just select the original offline AMA clips and choose AMA Link again and then point to the camera files.

You could try Unlinking (Cmd+Shift) the transcoded clips in bin and then relink to the original cam clips, pointing to the disk that has these files. Do not load databases, assuming of course, that you have some mediafiles still present.

I had a massive raid failure last week so I lost several projects. I'm trying to relink one current project to original cam files via AMA. I used AMA to bring in and then transcoded the files for edit. I have the original cam folders. How do you reconnect these or do I have to go through the ama process, transcode and then relink to sequence all over again?
