Well I tried with my SNDX using my BM SDI card instead of the Nitris and the new Digital Cut Offset has zero effect on a video only insert. I still get the one frame of black at the inpoint and the timeline is one frame late. No matter what I put in the offset after checking the box enable digital cut offset. Tried +1, -1, +5, -5 and everything still went to tape SRW-5500 in a 29.97P 1080 project. I'm running MC 8.3, OS 10.8.5 and BM Video Desktop 10.1.1. I'll check the BlackMagic site but no joy in output ville. We do seem to get frame accurate captures at work with the same card on Avid 6.5 ish. Come on Black Magic or Avid is there really no way to output from Avid through Blackmagic Hardware?

What happened is that it throws the picture out of sync by whatever amount you enter. Is this the expected behavior with this option?
